Wana Lose Weight Try Muay Thai, It’s Fun

Everyone wants to be fit and remain in the best shape. But it requires effort, serious dedication, and regularity which is often not possible with boring workouts. Due to this fact, many of us cannot keep on the workout routine for long enough.

But don’t let that stop you from now on because we have a solution. Get your Muay Thai shorts, headgear, and other things you need and start. This fitness and health journey will not be boring at all, that we can confirm.

With Muay Thai you will be losing man hundreds of calories and daily and getting into better shape. Going for short cuts and other ways like diet, living on salads might get your weight down but it has some problems.

First, it does not burn much fat unless you are working out, too, second, the results are not long-lasting, and third, it also makes you weak. When it comes to weight loss we know HIIT is better and more effective than cardio.

So, the training is a combination of interval training with a little bit of cardio and weights. Check out how Muay Thai can help you with your fitness goals.

Burning fat around the abdomen

The abdomen is the area of the body where most of our fat is. Like many other martial arts, Muay Thai focuses on strengthening the core. Because the power to your punches and kicks is derived from the core and hips. Thus, the stronger the core, the powerful the strikes become. Working to strengthen your obliques, abdomen, and other muscles around the core area, all of your fat will be burned.

This area of the body will be trained daily and constantly throughout the training because you will be throwing punches and kicks almost all the time. Any technique you will be performing will engage your core. Get ready to see abs pretty soon and just keep focused on your training.

A complete workout

For a fact, we know that fat is not just around the belly. So you have to burn it from the body completely to get toned and lean muscles. Muay Thai is known as the art of eight limbs because you strike with feet, knees, hands, and elbows. Meaning you will be training to make all of these strong and fast.

The training includes exercises for tricep, shoulder, thighs, and mid section as well. The power is derived from the core, but your muscles and bones need to be strong to attack and have speed.

Shoulders are like pistons to the arms when you punch, so making them strong is what you will be doing. You will be doing heavy bag training, weight and resistance exercise to build strength and speed to your arms.

Kicks like roundhouse, question mark, switch, and others for attack and defense is common. To deliver the most impact on your opponent and defend yourself good without getting injured, the legs have to be strong. Not just thighs, here you will be training calves, hips, and glute muscles too. Each muscle is important and serves its purpose when kicking. Deadlifts, squats, and jumping boxes are some of the exercises you will be doing alongside kicking the heavy bag.

Getting fit

The basics of weight loss is to burn more calories than you eat. With cardio this is pretty hard because just running you cannot have too many calories. Weight training is good and burns more calories, but it can get boring. Muay Thai training is a combination of high intensity interval training, weight exercises, cardio and of course heavy bag training. All of this is when done at high intensity followed by sparring sessions you can burn so many calories in just one hour.

With Muay Thai losing fat and getting lean muscles is just a matter of time. Provided you are training regularly, eating a healthy diet, and doing everything right. Conversely, what if you are skinny. Don’t worry, all you have to do is eat more than you are burning. Thus, you would need a good diet plan. For that you can definitely take to your trainer and coach or go to a dietitian.

Remember even if you are skinny, I would suggest you stay away from unhealthy fats, sugar, and fast food. Of course, once a cheat meal is allowed as suggested in your diet plan. The number of calories burnt depends on training’s intensity and effectiveness. The amount of fat burned depends on workout and diet. Muay Thai is a fast way to fat loss for good.

The fun part

Muay Thai is fun, just like other martial arts it engages you in it. Once you get the hang of it, it is difficult to stop doing it. Things like learning something new almost each day, intense training, having a personal trainer, making a lot of friends, punching the bag (it takes your frustration out), sparring, mental engagement in the game, and learning self-defense are the major ones that make it fun.

Weight loss and a lean muscular body is just the by-product of your efforts and hard work. This is why sticking to such a training routine is easier than others. If you think it is not made for you, there is always the option of going back and trying other martial art styles.
