Yoga to Overcome Hair Problems

In today’s stressful life, one cannot escape from hair fall or other hair problems and add to it other factors like hormonal disorders, diseases, bad eating habits, drugs, hair dyes, dandruff, and smoking cause stress.

With Yoga, meditation, pranayama, and proper diet, many hair problems can be reduced as these exercises improve blood circulation to the different parts of the body like the scalp, and get the desired level of oxygen flow.

Maximum forward bending asanas help blood circulation towards the head, retain scalp hygiene, and gain good growth. With the practice of the following asanas, you can get the results you so long desired.

Adho Mukha Savasana (Downward Dog Pose)

Adho Mukha Savasana increases blood circulation and is also best for sinus and cold. It gives relaxation to the mind and reduces mental tiredness, depression, and insomnia.

This asana looks similar to Dog when you bend forward and gives amazing benefits which make it extremely essential for you to practice it every day. A beginner can also easily do this asana. However, before doing it make sure to keep your stomach and bowel empty.

It also might be a great idea to leave a gap of a few hours between your last meal and the exercise. This would also give you sufficient time for food to get digested well. This asana would work best if you practice it in the morning.

Sarvangasana (Shoulder stand)

This asana helps nourish the thyroid gland which means healthy function to the respiratory, alimentary, genital, and nervous systems. In this asana, you raise the body with the support of your shoulders and hands and hence reverse the blood flow.

While doing this pose, your neck gets locked and blood flow gets reduced towards the neck and the head.  It also increases the blood flow to the lungs. The hair ultimately requires a level of nourishment.

Uttanasana (Standing forward pose)

It is an intense stretching pose that improves the circulation of the blood. In English, it is also known as a powerful stretch pose.

It requires you to bend down and try to touch the toes, which makes the head reach below the heart and increases the blood circulation on your head instead of feet, which improves the level of oxygen in the head.

However, before you start this asana make sure to keep your stomach and bowels empty.  It is a bit difficult for the beginner but you can gently bend your knees and allow the sacrum to get deep into the back portion of the pelvis.

Pawanmuktasana (Wind-relieving pose)

It is very easy to do the pose and helps to release digestive gases from the stomach and intestine. It is also known as the One-Legged Knee to Chest Pose. Practice it easy morning so that the trapped gasses in the digestive tract are released.

Digestive problems are also one of the causes of hair problems, and if the digestive tract and stomach are clear, hair problems will be solved.

Vajrasana (Adamintine Pose)

Vajrasana is also popularly known as Thunderbolt. It deals with the notion that pranayama is also performed in the Vajrasana position.

It makes the human body strong, cures stomach disorders, improves blood circulation, gives relief from constipation, and reduces obesity and stress. It also makes the muscles strong.

Anulom Vilom Pranayama (Alternate nostril breathing)

It also improves the blood flow. During the process, the brain cells get maximum oxygen which is best for the nervous system and hence allows better hair growth.

It also helps in digestion and removes acidity and other gas-related issues. It also helps in reducing belly fat and makes the lungs strong. This asana also removes the toxin level from the body.

Bhastrika Pranayama

It is one of the best breathing exercises that can be performed either way, either fast or slow. It helps in removing the excessive wind, bile, and phlegm from the body and purifies the nervous system which is essential for better hair growth.

It also makes the lungs strong and helps in removing allergies.  The pose also calms the mind and helps in improving the immune system.
